Brandt is stable and in the ICU now. We talked to the surgeon and things went really well. Although they were missing a few needles and had to take an x-ray to make sure they didn't forget anything inside him. If they had forgotten any metal objects, he would have had a tremendous time at the airport. Anyhoo, its late and I am tired. There will be more updates in the next couple of days. Stay tuned, same bat-channel.

Swap Complete!

We just heard that Brandt is out of surgery. They are wheeling him into the ICU as I write this. Although we haven't gotten to see him yet, we are waiting for the surgeon to come tell us how it went. As far as we know, it seems like everything went swimmingly. We are all super excited that Brandt now has a beautiful new liver. Can't wait to see him healthy and happy again.

Under Construction

We just got an update. It seems that they have gotten the shiny new liver in and are now working on connecting it so it can start working its magic!

It's Liver Time!

They finally found a beautiful new liver to replace Brandt's grumpy old one. Yay! Brandt had a giant smile, that stretched from ear to ear, when we heard it confirmed. He went into surgery at 1:06pm today but may not be out for many hours. It could take up to 10+ hours for the surgeons to complete their work. Thank you everyone, for your support and patience, we will be updating you about his status when we can on this here blog. We're all really looking forward to meeting Reginald.
